Environment and Maintenance Manager
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Are you an experienced maintenance professional looking for a role where you can help create safe, well-maintained environments for vulnerable and traumatised children? We are seeking an Environment and Maintenance Manager to lead our team in ensuring our homes, school, and head office provide a safe, nurturing, well-maintained and welcoming space for children.
About Us:
We are a children’s therapeutic community supporting vulnerable and traumatised children. We provide care and education for up to 36 children. Our community consists of three residential homes and a SEN school, and we believe that a well-cared-for environment is essential for the children’s recovery and development. Amicus is a children’s therapeutic community accredited by The Royal College of Psychiatrists providing therapeutic residential care and education to vulnerable and traumatised children aged 5 to 16 years old (up to age 11 on referral).
The Role:
You will manage and carry out maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects across our homes, school, and head office in Fontwell and Littlehampton. This includes:
- Leading and supervising our Environment and Maintenance Team.
- Ensuring safety and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Managing the budget for repairs and maintenance.
- Working closely with the leadership team on site developments.
About You:
- At least 5 years’ experience in general maintenance, with a good understanding of repairs, building, and decorating.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, with leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to manage a budget and work within financial constraints.
Desirable:
- Experience in a care or educational setting.
- First Aid certification / trade qualifications.
