Service & Operations Manager

Lucy is our Service and Operations Manager who works part time in a job share in this role. Lucy had experience working with vulnerable children in a Therapeutic Community in Reading prior to joining Amicus. Here she worked as a Therapeutic Residential Child Care Worker and was given the responsibility of creating and planning group play time sessions.  She has also gained child care experience by assisting at children’s clubs, summer camps, volunteering at Brighton and Hove Youth Offending Team and also researching for her University at various schools. Lucy’s qualifications and study background have given her a good grounding in understanding psychodynamic and child development theories.  She then commenced employment with Amicus in January 2007 as a Therapeutic Care Worker and later took over a Link Worker role in 2008. In 2008 Lucy fulfilled the role as Acting Deputy Home Manager, and then she successfully applied for the role of Registered Home Manager and completed the Ofsted registration for the role in September 2010. Lucy commenced her role as Service and Operations Co-ordinator in April 2013 and the role has since developed to Service and Operations Manager now involves the overseeing of the operations of the organisation and assisting in its development.
